What kind of course is this?
Foundations of Mindfulness Mediation is a 6-week signature audio course that invites you to establish and nurture the foundations of a seated practice.
We can all bring mindfulness into our daily lives—this practice doesn’t need to be extreme to create meaningful change. Everyone is welcome.
You can complete this course in six weeks or at your own pace.
Course Framework
This progressive course provides an interdisciplinary framework and practical tools to help you establish and nurture the foundations of a seated meditation practice. Together, we will —
Explore classical and personal definitions of mindfulness.
Learn scientific, philosophical, and practical aspects of mindfulness meditation.
Introduce the four pillars of mindfulness practice from a contemplative spiritual perspective.
Build a sustainable rhythm of home practice using guided meditations.
Provide strategies to work through obstacles to practice.
Contextualize the value of mindfulness in our modern world.
About This Course
Each session begins with an educational talk followed by a guided meditation that explores the themes of the talk further.
The guided meditations are also provided independently of the full sessions to use for daily practice.
6 Weekly Audio Sessions
Lay the groundwork with 30-minute progressive dharma talks designed to introduce the basics of seated practice, explore the classical pillars of mindfulness meditation, and plant seeds of integration for daily guided practice.
6 Guided Meditations
An audio and written toolkit of guided meditations intended for daily use. In tandem with weekly audio sessions, this gentle guidance will help you create new habits and integrate lessons through practice.
Course Guidebook
Complete with journal prompts for personal reflection, written meditation scripts, a collection of mindfulness poems, and continuing resources for your practice.
